ok i've been mining 24/7 since the new patch came out and i still dont have a cavedown :-/ can someone pls tell me what i have to do to get one? i tried mining ore, rubble, hardened wall but nothing - this is getting really frustrating...

no one really knows yet as far as i know...
the only thing JC said was only one type of wall section can open a fussier.
(also said don't assume level 8 will be the same as the other floors)

yea.. mining like 200-300 tiles and getting no ore at all realy sucks.
i want the ol' good mining system back

yah it dose.... not really happy about the phlegm cost ether. :'(
(not to mention we will need to refine the irons now also.... mining has always been hard but now it is even harder)

i assume the ore spots will get more frequent the deeper you go

so far no....
i have dug in almost 100 tiles and only found 2 veins of iron.
but maybe the next floor will have more veins.... i hope.... if i ever find it....

I am about 300 tiles in and the amount of iron seems to get bigger when I first find it.

Speaking of mining , I think I missed something :

I had a "Black looking" wall in my mine where I can't mine , so I put a Pile of wood and let it burn for 2 hours. After that the wall can be "mined" : but the burn-cracked wall turned into a "Ruble-looking" wall !

With a pic :

-Pile of wood is a new one , to show you the position of the old/burned one
- the two "ruble-tile" around where "black" before burning
- the ruble boulder on the ground was black too before burning , ruble-looking after burning , and produced ruble when chopped.

Is that normal ?

@Hitori : You can sift the rubble to (try to) find gold or gems inside.

I'm tempted to say "read the OP", but I understand that things can be missed when it's of that length, so here you go:

Rubble now has a use!
Rubble now as a Difficulty dependant on the Mines & Mountains of the player who Chips it.
The Rubble may now be Sifted. There is a chance to find a Raw Gem in Rubble while Sifting it. There is also a chance to find Black Sand or Golden Flakes while Sifting.

yah this is normal, also if you get a cave in (where the mine falls in on its self) then it will be that dark stuff you have to burn... at least so far from what i have seen


can't wait to find out what the wall section is that opens the next floor down is looks like.
