As it is now old players have an enormous advantage from legacy humus, and can never be caught up even if you invest millions of manhours into it.

Absolutely, correct.

Yep, they will never go non-PVP Perma Death, the dev's just need to make it less crushing to build a character and a base after they get leveled.

Yes the game is dead population wise, and yes most people now are quitting because of boredom or because they get leveled by pre-hummus nerf titans. Cities and Towns are almost done as part of Salem. They need to fix this. A 4th Server isn't the answer. 1 clean server or a restart for everyone on one of the servers now. I''m hoping for a restart.

It would be interesting if they just did a full wipe and restart once they fix the map generator, the purity system, the gluttony system and everything else that needs to be fixed. I expect this to happen "soon".

It will take a year to do any of this. I'm thinking the gluttony system will be first, but the purity system and the map generator are probably at least a year away according to Chief.

150 is our peak across three servers on a daily basis now, and that's only if we're lucky.

The bug was reported on 15th of November [ http://www.seatribe.se/bt/show_bug.cgi?id=86 ], you abused it on 12th of the December [ http://forum.plymouth.seatribe.se/viewt ... lit=gallow ], and it was fixed just 1,5 weeks later - 21st of December. [ http://forum.plymouth.seatribe.se/viewt ... f=2&t=3170 ]. They werent, you dirty liar! It is, however, quite funny and ironic, that it was abused against the ones who reported it. And yes, that was really immediately considering how long it usually takes for Seatribe to fix stuff.

As with all bugs on the bug-tracker we have directly reported them to the Great Spirit months before they appear on there.

Yeah, I know its not going to happen any time soon but there is no point in a reset before all of that is done. My 'I expect this to happen "soon"' comment was a joke.

remember, blue for sarcasm. :D

Right now I'm just hoping for a massive gluttony fix by the end of summer. None of it makes any sense tho without a character stat/hummus/worm wipe. They're trying to fix a problem without actually getting rid of the problem, just plastering around it. I've almost lost hope in them ever actually fixing it.

You can use blue for sarcasm all you want but everyone else uses black. :D

At this point so much stuff needs to be fixed/finished that there is no point it wiping anything.

Honestly, these forums make a lot more sense if black was the color of sarcasm.

...and true. A wipe would drive away the hardcore's who haven't left yet, and those are pretty much the only people playing anymore.

I'm not even going to consider playing again without a wipe. There is no way I'm going to dedicate my time into this game just to have some group of **** bandits with god chars from the previous flawed system roll in and level everything I build. There is really nothing the devs can do to even out the playing field, no amount of tweaks will compensate for that fact.

It is impossible to catch up to the god tier players with new system, factions like the tribe will just go around picking everyone off anyways even if they plant a hundred trees a day to grind purity, it's simply not worth it.

You wouldn't have a chance if there was a wipe so don't even say such things. You will always be playing catch up thinking like this.

At least on Roanoke, thanks to the general good-naturedness of Martinezz and that other guy selling boards, new players had access to higher purity boards and higher purity bins. It cost a lot but the 2 guys ground those trees up and used a lot of hummus so nobody really minded paying them for it. They even sold saplings so that you could actually get a head start on the tree grind yourself. Again they were expensive but you kind of admired the 2 of them for doing it and didn't mind so much.

On Plymouth the tribe has supposedly ground up their bins to 30%, that means with legacy 100% worms they can get as much 30+ hummus as they need. Now I don't think they're selling boards but they might be, but they're not selling 30% saplings for sure. Now I respect the work that went into grinding 30% trees but they did it with legacy hummus. A new player could spend forever to get to 30%, in fact it's probably impossible without legacy hummus and massive amounts of Alchemy. Alchemy might make it easier but I don't know anybody that's willing to do that grind anymore. It's incredibly harder for anybody to get those trees up.

So, I can't believe I'm saying this but you should leave. Don't invest anytime in this game until they fix it. They'll probably wipe it when the do fix it anyways. This is a beta and is really only a test game for whatever comes next (if anything comes next). Hopefully they fix it, we'll see, I'm committed to it for the sake of experimentation, but I can't recommend the game at this point. I'm an old-school Beta tester that wants to see a game through to the market. I've never had a game drop dead from under me before, but this one might be the first. If I get into the Beta test for TESonline, I'm gone too.

it's not a matter of thinking like that, it's a fact. It's impossible for him to catch them or truly defend against them.

Impossible for somebody like yourself, sure. Not impossible for a competent gamer though.
