Indeed. It was decided that most ads would be best effective only a few days out from the restart, otherwise people would 'wait' only to lose interest before it starts. We will try some advertising venues and see how it works out. No promises as I can't say we have a lot of experience in this department but we will at least try.

Would be good to ensure the server has minimal possible downtime too. People will come here expecting finished, commercially viable product. If they come and get 4h downtime because something crashed and no dev is around to get it up then it will look... unprofessional.

I have absolutely no clue how I"m going to maintain my composure if we get some flood of nublets who demand pathfinding.

Oh yeah, that. Make it very clear in the tutorial with a big WARNING: NO PATHFINDING.
Basically, everything that you decided against should be stated CLEARLY in bold, on the very first popup, so people know what to expect. Else everyone have to deal with that.

Marp has made me an entire youtube playlist of calming ocean waves and gentle music that I can play in case any wowkiddies get lost on and find their way over here.
