Hmmm, we already had religion related ideas...B) Same thing with church...

BTW, anyone so far found efficient way to distinct game "voices" from regular one we hear?

You do not. But those paying close attention will realize that it is quite easy for me to 'limit' alts now as even a 'slow' amount of insanity gained while logged off would create a fairly real burden for having multiple alts. At this moment in time though I don't feel it is necessary but is nice to finally have an option to put a stop to mass-alts.

hmmmm Could be something to be said for keeping your mind sharp.

Applying some absurd metric to combat insanity like 25% of the playtime would certainly make things look silly. Unfortunately, it would make the person making up the absurd and silly numbers look silly too. Feel free to voice a concern once you are finished creating unrealistic and hilariously off-base assumptions on the time it takes to combat insanity.

The original client:
I hear voices, masks do not change, I can not go into binge-mode custom error.

Latikai/Ender's client:
I hear voices, masks do not change, I can go into mode of gluttony.

How much is dangerous to hear voices? what stage of madness?

Milk is intended to be the hydration method for reducing insanity.

Indeed I should have a fix for this soon. Once you hear voices on average every 12 seconds you are within 4 hours from dying and it is probably best to log off and wait until people are selling tobacco or I decide to put it on the king stall. I would find it odd as the patch has not even been out long enough for people to 'naturally' be approaching perma-death at this point. So the only way to get there by now is if you were SPECIFICALLY doing more things on the add insanity list than things on the reduce insanity list over the last day. (and you were playing for the last 24 hours straight).

Claeyt wrote:This hasn't been a problem has it? I thought Salem was basically bot free compared to other, lesser games that shall not be named.

I do have a program in place that alerts me to repetitive tasks etc. etc. I have caught some players tampering on the 'edges' of automation. I don't consider it a 'huge problem' but I do consider any little thing that forces you to maximize the way in which you play a game and pay more attention to various 'states' of your character to be a positive move against botting etc.

A cowbell is like the trumpet and does not reduce insanity for the players around you, only the player doing it. Listening to anything near dock club does not reduce insanity.
