We don't have an NDA on us because they don't let us know any more than you. The super secret forum is just for bringing up important issues so they don't drown in the mass of threads in the main forums. The "exclusive" info is just stuff from IRC, anyone can ask them there and usually get an answer, unlike at forums, because the devs are IRC supremacists.

If I understand correctly phrase it dull.
everyone has an opinion and you have no right to change it.
if you do not know anything then why open your mouth?
Madness
I would change everything in places, but to madness, I do not have enough strength

Who usually ends up in these groups? Those who think similar to the devs and can help point out flaws in logic or game mechanics (not Yes Men), those who are pillars of the community in one form or another, or those who are really good at hunting down bugs. Other people get in for other reasons, too, but I think that hits the major three. (I will note that major games tend to be mostly bug hunters and such, but valued community members can be invited in, usually under a strong NDA.)

The difference is that the testers usually don't use their position on the tester forums to troll the rest of the community even if they are using fake info. They also generally don't get to use that information to help their allies and friends either, but whatever. Most of the Mason's barely play anymore it seems.

Suppose I should weigh in here...

Wipe or no- there will always be those who are: retired, independently wealthy, sucking on government titty, etc... Bascially- they can play the game 24/7 and I can't. I live in my pathetic real life where I have work and family that take precedence. (Not saying family is pathetic, but it will always be more important that a game).

That said, I don't know that a wipe would help me much. Those that can spend more time in game will always trump me.

Candidly, I would like to see 'legacy stuff' disappear from the game. Either roll back the changes made before so we can all produce it or nerf anything over 20% to 20% period. Allow folks who have better to exist... but they can never be improved more. Time and circumstance will end them...and then there will be no more ""Titans""... as it should have been.

NOTE- I never hated Tribe or others from having their biles... I hated the fact they could recover almost instantly compared to the population who weren't so gifted with materials. Perma-death isn't a real deterrent if you can rebuild your toon in 1 week or less to 400+ biles.

Give vets their due... but no more... when they die... that's the end of it... and they can compete under the current rules that govern the rest.

A long time I wanted a wipe... but if Jorb/Loftar can negate or nerf the benefit these 'Titans' have to perpetuate their status... then I can easily live with whatever...

And if you have any interest in building your player base you'll lock Plymouth off to new players and start a new server under new rules... the end result will definitely offset any tertiary angst from Tribe.

Watch population levels on Plymouth for a week...or better yet run History of levels for the past few months... Tribe has no defense... and neither do you Jorb/Loftar... if you want to increase population levels and unbiased feedback... over-all.

I feel if a person wants to spend all their time playing a game such as this they should not be punished for it, if anything learn to use those people to benefit yourself. Playing a ton doesn't mean you need to be worse than the guy who has all the time in the world, it's really what you do with that time in game that counts. Titans mean nothing if you are smart, just wait for a slip and summon kill, whether its 400 or 1000 if you can break into a base while they are offline (or catch a slip up like Juda made countless times) then even a 100 bile character can be just as useful
