Honestly, I have no clue.

Apart from the gluttony changes (which is great new btw), will we see any changes in the games current raiding mechanism?

I think the current raiding system is highly flawed as a single character can destroy a whole town (of noobs of course). Will we be seeing a new sort of defense structure with a more hands on approach than the current braziers structure?

I know I am only talking about defense and not offense but I think the latter is more important as this is a perma death game and dying hurts.

no, offense is not the best defense. Although it seems the tribe is rocking this logic. But look at plymouth. Nobody wants the game to end up like that :P

I apologize, I'm clearly out of line in questioning and suggesting alternatives to the direction of Salem, your developmental process, and your relationship with the community.

Let's continue with blaming Chief for the low populations, legacy humus for the imbalance between industrious and lazy players, and the need for a wipe as a panacea for broken mechanics.

Here's to a better tomorrow!

Faithfully,

While it is true that we can not blame legacy humus for the imbalance between lazy and industrious players, the high difference between population of the three servers should point out how Chief has crippled Plymouth's population.

I don't believe in any of those things, and I think you know that full well.

Nope, but you are clearly misinformed as to the nature of my relationship with the community in one way or another.

Unlike my previous apology, which was clearly facetious, I do apologize for the bit quoted above, which was unfair.

However - I do stand by my earlier criticisms. There's a lot of low-hanging fruit to be picked here, and I just don't understand why these things haven't been addressed. The stated reason for the months-long development halt was the gluttony system, but that just doesn't explain the lack of attention to these quick-win issues.

I agree that we could get better at fixing trivial things. They tend to fall in between the cracks and seem too small to merit much attention. If it's any consolation to you, I've gotten around to making better graphics for woodblocks, tumbleweeds, and a few others. ;)
