Mhm, this action does cost an awful lot of phlegm compared to most other stuff.

Don't quote it either!

that's why everybody go kill beavers, and buy the boards.

the game at the moment is just killing beavers on the coast in a canoe.....

Yup. I forgot, look for charms is the second thing you do in the game
The rest is a waste of time when you can buy with the silver achieved by doing two things

I have yet to try the sawbuck, but if it's anywhere near as phlegm intensive as people say, i can now make the joke that I could probably dig a crater to the bottom of the world with the phlegm it takes to saw 10 timber piles >.> since with digging gear I seem to have no issue levelling anything with very little phlegm cost. In fact, I remember ye olden days on JT where many a turkey and buddies on a branch were used to level a handful of hills.
Exactly 6.022 x 10^23 worth of Lach molecules.

I just took a ten minute walk up the coast and there is nothing but skinned beavers as far as the eye can see.

I also find stumps stuffed with dead turkeys. Such a waste. It would be good if the Dev's could place a few choice inspirationals in beavers and turkeys which can only be found by butchering them all the way to the end. Of course turkeys are eash to butcher but it would be good for the beaver slayers out there.

I have yet to find my first lard from beaver, seems fairly uncommon!

They do give some of those though.
Nothing really compares to the value of the skins and/or the fertile turkey.

Maybe instead they could do a hint of witchcraft. Leaving the half-butchered remains up to the moment they decay could make their spirits haunt your character for a while.

To fix the turkeys maybe they could stay KO on the ground for a minute or two after dropping. That way it's easy to tell which you have & havn't checked so they don't get dumped in random stumps.
