took me 3 potions to remove a large glutton session timer, pretty cheap if you ask me

I suppose my view isn't all that relevant on this. As a somewhat casual hermit silver is not something I have in abundance.

Just grow cotton & sell it, easiest silver for hermits !

Yeah. Earning silver as a solo hermit is very hard, especially if you are casual. I too fear that this business of decreasing the timer will greatly favor the more hardcore, big factions. I think what the admins are hoping is that if a player from a large faction is killed by another player, the dead player can immediately build his new character to its former glory, (or some place close) and seek revenge. I might be wrong though. :ugeek:

So everyone moaned and groaned over the Full & Fed up timer, now people are moaning and groaning over the way to "purge" this timer. I swear pleasing most of you is like trying to get my dog to clean up his own ****. It just won't happen.

They probably could, not a bad thing imo. Giving people options to rebuild is a good step towards making PVP more viable.

I do hope defenses stay strong enough relative to the characters to prevent hermits from being wiped out just because they can't keep up in biles.
I remember some russians ***** walls and braziers out of the way as if they were nothing on Roanoake.

If you look carefully, you might find that the people who groaned about the timer are not the same as the people who are moaning about purging it. :D

But yeah, I think you can train your dog to **** in the toilet. A few people have done so. How old is this dog of yours?

Once you exceed 100 humors, Walls become like chopping a tree, they will fall with effort and a little time. Plank @ 100 biles is a little bit of a pain but not something undoable. I just seized my first town a day or so ago with plank, I had around 92 humors and it did take a little effort, but I used a small known trick to help compensate. Don't build your town walls on the edge tile of your town..Leave space lol

Haha, I see that mistake a lot in small hermit camps.
I don't much like raiding but it's interesting to see that even with such a small community many still don't know basic precautions.

I don't think right now there's a real problem with somewhat higher bile characters, it just needs to stay that way. I think the balance is right if hermits are more of a pain to take out than they're worth to the big factions. Assuming they don't actively support major opponents or make a general pain in the ass out of themselves. At the same time it should be possible to take out any town, assuming you put in enough efford.
People should also be able to recover from losing characters for whatever reason as well, so if defenses stay strong enough to not become paper against the fully developped characters then there's really no problem I think.
