Agree

And JC- you are definitely slipping... last patch was this weekend last month... but best word is it'll be end of September before we see the next.

Just cry foul and make it October already...

It's nice you think you can produce quickly; but I'd rather you certain and go every other than produce half assed, untested crap.

What's wrong with you? John said right after the last patch that this patch will take a bit more than a month because purity and food are huge areas. Things are right on time right now.

I assume this extends to water, quarried lime, stone and granite, clay, fish?
Will every of these get their way of increasing purity? Will they even need purity?

Could we have a confirmation for this? Dunno if I should try to look for purity water / clay for my new place or will it not matter anymore

It won't matter for Aether. I will matter for getting a jump start on impurities. But its not like the nodes you find now will necessarily persist with the same impurities after the patch either. So no, I wouldn't waste time looking for purity nodes at the moment.

Totally imagined Meow just shaking her head in both shock and awe at that post.

On a side note, while water and clay aether values might not matter (I guess water doesn't contribute its aether value to food anymore?) , do the other potential food ingredients that we can't just plant to raise in purity? As in, will we end up discarding most recipes involving meat simply because we can't hunt pure animals other than turkeys? I assume the way to combat that effect would be to buff meat-specific recipes like bluebeary, and differentiate between game and domestic to account for purity on the latter. Still curious on your thoughts though.

We like to think we have less messy solutions than that. We are making a sincere push at the moment to make sure that every food in the game can be made with up to 100% Aether value when the patch drops. That way you won't have to select your food choices based on which recipes take purity and which ones do not.
