there is no character imbalance you moron, just like there was no reason for a wipe after ""1x1" fields"  what a stupid thing to ***** about.

known "titans" (we will call a character with 400 or more stats a titan)

jamestown: handful of "titans" posessed by myself. my "titan" stat levels are nowhere near those of roanoke or plymouth and are reachable under current mechanics.

roanoke: approximately 5 remaining "titans" possessed by the candy gang or their tribe pilots, 2 by me, 3 by arcadia, 2 possibly by big willy *****, but very likely not.

plymouth: 10 - 15 titans owned by tribe players.

the only server "titans" are out of proportion enough to matter is on plymouth and that is merely because nobody plays there which allowed the remaining faction to cement their position there for the past year.

less than a dozen players across 3 servers having a few "titans" does not mean **** in a permadeath game, in fact exactly what i said months ago has happened, most of the "titans" have been killed off and the remaining ones are tending the fires at home.

just because you have the attention span of a goldfish and need a wipe every few months for **** to "feel" "new" to you does not mean that the rest of us with jobs and lives share that sentiment.

In the event of a wipe with no new content except for the gluttony system, I think I'd be out the door first. The idea of redoing the last year of work that I did just to catch back up to where I'm at now sounds as fun as jamming a cordless drill in my eye socket. However if a wipe came with a multitude of new content, then yeah, I would want to keep going to check out all the new content. But the main reason behind alot of peoples push for a wipe is still the eternal ***** about legacy humus. You can get to 400 humors with 10% humus, not as fast, but its very possible. 3-4 people who know how to work together, with even 300 humors each can take down a titan fairly easy. Hell, 2 people with 300 humors could be a massive force to deal with.

I just get tired of hearing people push for a wipe because they can't figure out how to get past 60 humors with their 0% colewort.

anyways, I'm done. Carry on with your derail

A wipe seems very unlikely to happen, but I don't particularly mind whether there is one or not. Either way, I will be here playing and having tons of fun.

I have to agree with Icon, i don't regard the existence of legacy items and characters as a problem which is really detrimenting the game. I've always cringed when i've seen people crying about titans. As Icon and others have said, there's nothing stopping people from creating characters with good biles. If you don't like that there are titans in the game, team up with some friends, get some biles and go fight them. I started salem after the legacy humus was already mostly in the hands of the candy gang on my server etc and never expected to have the chance to use it to build a titan myself.

Having had an openly recruiting town for months which mostly took in new or fairly inexperienced players, i've seen not a single one complain that titans exist or feel discouraged from playing because of them. The thing I have seen as a problem on my server is that we have had a powerful group apparently insisting on trying to enforce farmville upon the entire server. I see this as having a number of detrimental effects which contribute to players becoming bored and going inactive, and i don't think it's at all because people don't think they'll ever be able to make their own titans.

If you want to call for a wipe for the purposes of 'testing' or whatever, we don't need a wipe for that, just a new server would make more people happy. Personally i'm glad the devs have taken this attitude of not wiping unless it's absolutely needed, if they were to wipe because of current 'imbalances' then no doubt they would have reason to wipe more in the future when similar issues arise, and a game with regular wipes is not so much to my taste.

You are weak people!Where is your powerfull?Where is your wish to play ??
you kill yourself in the hopes that the wipe may change your life.
But it does not change anything because you already gave up!
You are very interesting people who can not be willing to work in an ideal!
You give up because you want something more from this game, even though you can not notice the very simple desire to play, live, hope ,fun.
. And all this in a game called Salem, where you can realize all that it can give!

And you just idly turned his brain, and weep about to create wipe!
Drive in his mouth and start playing!

Strangely, I have met Dallane in-game at times when I was utterly convinced he wasn't playing. He's sly.

It's a sad day when you find yourself agreeing with Darwoth :D But every wipe discussion finds me in this position. I've been having a great time the past week rebuilding bases and working the current gluttony system even though I know it's on the way out. Try playing the game and enjoying i t. It's quite fun :)

Also, I think the size of the player base has a lot more to do with a lack of advertisement than anything else. And I think it is intentional due to the in development status of the game and the current cost of hosting it.

Are you high? You are aware the game was backed by paradox right?

Paradox was backing the game as a beta project, meaning it was not ready for a full release. Personally I have not seen any advertising for the game. I only heard about it on MMOBomb's weekly update, and that was about an eight second mention stating the game was going open-beta.

Has there been a marketing effort put forth by either the developers or Paradox?
