I agree, a wipe would make things so much more interesting! No bases to raid, no abandoned settlements to find, no competition and even fewer players than today! Brilliant, such wow.

/sarcasm

We have already been told many times there will be no wipe unless there is a drastic reason. Furthermore if you read the IRC chat linked above the devs hint that they are considering a humor adjustment of existing characters at most.

These arguments of not being able to compete with legacy characters are pathetic. Under the current system it is still quite possible to build a 400 biles character with zero percent purity ingredients. You just need to understand the math behind the current system. Sure, more pure ingredients will help get you there slightly faster. And yes, legacy purity items can get you there quicker, but they are not necessary.

I have no doubt that the new system will allow similar levels of character development, and will hopefully be less confusing than the current one.

Honestly, its all in the speed. This game is open pvp everything you do is to be stronger at pvp. If you can make one toon with 300 biles and someone else can produce 3 300 bile toons you are screwed, not to mention that you are limited to 400 and he can easily make 1000. Also there is a question of infrastructure, if someone is devoted in hunting you down (or anyone new like tribe) you will be happy to reach 200.

My vote goes for the wipe but I am aware that probably we wount have a wipe until the game exits beta.

I realize that, alloin. A lot of people are. You're not going to sway jorb or loftar either one by just posting WIPE a thousand times.

Is this the only major redesign they have planned, though? If not, they may be planning a wipe, but put it off until they have things implemented they want to change. I really don't have access to any other information on this, and this is one of those things I don't think they'll be easily swayed on. For all I know, they could be planning a wipe with this.

A wipe would be quite hilarious now. All those people wasting ALOT of time in farming and skills before the patch hits. But I agree that it will be better for the game.

I still continue my cartographing process. If a wipe comes I'll just start again :D

I'd love to see a screeshot of a purity tree 20%+ without the use of legacy items.
I'd love to see you make a 400+ humoured character (i have a couple, even made one without legacy humus & i can tell you it's nearly impossible without using 1 piece of legacy humus)
Please go back to whatever hole you came from if you don't know what you're talking about. It might seem possible in theory, but I have yet to see someone else actually achieve it.

I had & still have as good as everything ingame, the biggest legacy humus stock, humours higher than 99,99% of the game's players, a team with biles you can't even imagine...

...yet I want a wipe... WHY ? Because (imho) it's needed, it will refreshen the playerbase & bring in a whole lot of new people, it wil balance things out :p

What's the use playing with titans when you have no one to raid, right? ¦]

Sorry upfront if i cant do this here in this thread or not now in this thread.

Some people are assuming people will somehow hear of this game if there is a wipe.
If there is a wipe you can only be certain that some people will leave and you have NO certainty that new/more people will come.

So currently doing a wipe is useless for player increase purposes.
To get new players maybe there should be an advertising campaign or somesuch. and since seatribe AND salem isnt currently ready for this, a campaign will not happen, thus a wipe wont.
Unless the new upgrade-patch-content or whatnot requires a wipe. but thats for a whole other reason.

Dont get me wrong, i would love a wipe. being a new player it would level at least a little bit of the playing field.
Regards
