Striving for that will only give one the feeling that they are running a failing pest control business.

(p.s. good job on turning the game around JC)

ImpalerWrG wrote:How dose this sound as an idea/template for an "Expedition".

Jamaica has been discovered, every town can send expedition alts to Jamaica which is a separate map. On Jamaica their are sugar-cane plants available which will only grow in Jamaica, every faction tries to grow and produce as much sugar as possible in one month. They must store the sugar in a new structure the 'Sugar-Shack' which can be destroyed, at the end of the month the faction that possess the most Sugar will be granted the Royal Sugar monopoly. That faction gets to take back to Providence ALL the sugar produced during the Expedition and gets a 'Sugar monopoly' document/item which allows you too buy sugar from NPC's at a discount, this item should be subject to being stolen so ideally some mechanism will prevent it from being alt-valted.

Many variations on this theme of a resource production race + winner takes all resources back + legendary item bonus should be possible.

Historically, Jamaica and Caribbean were used as outposts for expeditions into northern America continent, so kinda opposite to what you propose.
I think you should rather expect hunting, gold rush (or search for cities of gold), fight / trade with natives or witch hunt types of expeditions :P

This is the only version of expedition that we plan on having at launch. But they do give us the freedom to diversify as time and hopefully popularity for the game grow.

My understanding of it was that, we were going to get a clothing/artifice patch then later in the month we would get the combat patch. They managed to pick up the pace and make one super patch that we got already.

This, and the 2nd major thing we wanted to do was at least get 'some' things on the store. Of which you have springs and a Weapon Chest.

So, since it's now basically the 26th, give or take some 2 involved in the math, does that mean we get the patch in 2 days? >.>
