Fair enough, but at this point it's all wasted time for someone either way. Wipe with capped humours? Your time is wasted. No wipe? People (those who started playing in the last few months with the shred of hope that they'd be able to one day compete) - their time is wasted.

Probably a smarter business move to appeal to a larger audience, and cutting new players off from any hope of competitiveness is probably not a good way of doing that. I understand and sympathize with your worry of having wasted countless hours of time, but sunk cost is never a good defense of the status quo. What would you suggest the best move would be at this junction, assuming the change is here to stay?

All high humour characters who are good sports would be happy with a wipe since their characters are stunted and they will have no competition, if you want to continue owning people for years to come mabye you should do it in a game where it wont be so easy for you.

Right now i have no desire to play any of the current servers since they are effectively ruined if this system is to be permanent. Either make a new server to give all the newcomers/non super hardcore people a chance to catch up and lose darworth or don't and lose way more players in my point of view.

If you didn't want to waste time you shouldn't player a perma death game. What's going to happen when you die? You going to sperg out and quit?

Perhaps keep the new servers open and make a 4th server? Often games they do that when they have major patches that make the current servers incompatible, which kinda seems like what this patch has done.

Alot of people wil quit the current servers after realisng all the ins and outs of this patch as they will see they will have no chance to catchup.

Opening a new server after a massive change like this is a death knell for other servers. Mass exodus at best, might as well just close them at that point as this is an inherently social game.

First off I love your game Jorb and Loftar, you guys have made a very enjoyable game that I and my friends enjoy tremendously. We will definitely keep playing no matter what you do.

Do not wipe the servers, please. It would make this game very, very hard to come back to. There's a fix for humor monsters somewhere, please go out there and find it.

Although this update is a big change, it was a long time coming and needed, most of it I really like. It will slow down humor growth. It adds to the gameplay. It makes purity objects more desirable.

People are right tho, this should have happened from the start, not in open beta. Many parts of this update are really cool. Foraging purity, etc.... but specifically the farming aspect will stunt new to medium players. There has to be a check to high humored folk. The farming aspect will also affect them but they're already there. Maybe up the Brazier perma-humor damage. Maybe a humor decay system. Maybe something else. But something.

Mereni wrote:All this arguing about high humor characters being uncatchable now is not very well thought out. Braziers damage humors, permanently. Meaning, high humor characters don't stay that way long, further gluttony is needed.

That's only for the people that go out and raid constantly. Losing like 400 humours seems tough to do for braziers alone. Honestly, I think it should be possible to drain humours in other ways. It shouldn't be very common, but it should happen to all forms of actions so characters don't raise to incomprehensibly high numbers from when game-changing updates are done. Seems like a decent way to even the field for everyone crying.

Thank god. If they catered to all the carebears no one would ever take this game seriously.

That's assuming that the gaming public at large takes this game seriously. Which it doesn't.

YUP cap everyone at 100, Make wall damage % not based on humors. This way its a group effort. The fact that people use trees as walls for this very reason should tell the devs something. The game 100% broke, at the core.
