Mini Update #1
*Picking Flowers from the wild now lowers insanity.
*Planting things in your pots now lowers your insanity.
*Players who are listneing to music played by other players that would change a biome will find that it soothes them and lowers their insanity as well.
*Woodchoppings now give more upkeep reduction.
*Crown Manure has been significantly buffed.
*Fertile Turkey poop should now give the appropriate fertilizer values when used.

Not sure if this is new to this patch, but in the new tutorial/new character thing...

First, right-clicking by the gate is a little confusing because the English banner looks a lot like a gate, and the actual gate isn't in view in the default camera angle (at least for me).

In the Indian Village, the dialog from the chief does not get logged either in System or Area.

in the Indian Village, the instruction "Learn the skill 'Suvival Skills'." is misspelled.

An explanation of inspirations would be good, I think as well. I might even go so far as to recommend they make a grass whistle.

Similarly, when the instructions say "eat something to restore your black bile" (I'm paraphrasing now), some explanation of the basics of biles and humours would be good, similar to how you bring up the help for building.

"Throw a wood block on the sacred fire" probably wants to have some instructions on how to chop down trees. I assume that the newbie area is instanced or otherwise has safeguards against being depleted? Also, here an explanation of phelgm and work draining biles, etc. might be appropriate :). Alternatively, a description of the other ways to interact with objects in the world (you've covered right click menus, but not opening stumps/logs or chopping wood piles--apropos to the task, etc. Also explaining why sometimes certain menu items are not available (can't pick berries??) might prevent giving the impression that the game is just buggy.

Personally, somewhere in here, I'd mention two other things. First, about special finds like Perfect Autumn leafs, etc. because they are features that might not be obvious and yet are fun, especially for new players (imo). Second about special recipes (which I think we could use more of, btw), where you can substitute ingredients for other ingredients and get special results. Both are fun and cool and realization of their existance I think would peek the interest of potential new players. I would also add somewhere a note about context menus being limited to what the character knows how to do at the moment.

On "Gluttony some food and gain a humour point.", again, bringing up the help on humours and gluttony would be good, imo :)

The great fire.. is not. A Fire.

... and the server restarted :).

(and the character was lost)

Also, it occurs to me that instructions on how to feed nubs, give nubs an item, etc. might be good. Similarly, "Learn the Skill childish things" aught to have some instructions on how to do so.

Indeed. Each note you hear gives you over 5 minutes of playtime 'shaved off' the impending madness level accumulation. So even listening to 20-40 notes could easily give you a few hours of not having to worry about insanity.

What if being around the sick adds a little insanity and curing your disease restores your own insanity some?

Now we're talking. These things will help newbies quite a bit, I think.

Indeed, we are not interested in "music alts" and would prefer that people at least invest enough into the character to get Aeolian if they are going to get the benefit of being a bard.

Would even a trumpet (a regular one, that doesn't change the biome even with the aeolian skill) work and decrease insanity? Or does it have to be the kind of instrument that does change the bione?
