If there was an insanity meter I am quite confident there would be no margin for error left, meaning nobody would ever hit madness levels at all, meaning there was no point to the entire system as it was designed.

I understand the DESIRE to want to know everything. But madness is all you NEED to know. When you get it, do something to take it off. As for the micro-managing to the very last detail to ensure you never get it in the first place, it will quite simply never happen. Just like witchcraft, I will adjust, tweak, and mess with insanity as soon as I see players creating 'solutions' that i deem too easy. You ARE intended to get a madness level every now and then because you cannot quite figure out how it works, and there are already way too many lenient options in place to reduce madness.

You should only add a pop-up window when the level of madness in which it is explained and how to fix it. This will help beginners learn that something bad had happened and that it was time to do something.

I agree 100% and the only reason it is not in is because I am lazy.

If somebody wants to write the popup here and does a good enough job I'll steal it and prioritize it into the next fix. See the "Disease" popup for a template of how I think insanity popup should look. I imagined I would display it once a player gained his first madness level.

It's your job and you get paid for it. Because of this laziness you lose players right now.

Do not expect that someone will do the work for you. Just do it.

Wrong answer. I think I've made it clear on several posts I have taken $0.00 for the effort placed into Salem thus far and all funds have simply gone towards developing it. That was a pretty insane thing for you to say and a pretty crappy attitude for somebody who has spent as many hours on a game as you have contributing as little as you have. I gave you a generous offer to help contribute to something that was important to you and not important to me. A simple "no thanks" would have been the correct answer.
