got to lvl6 insanity, now I'm getting lots of annoying events and none of fun ones. Constructing, mining and crafting are severly hindered cause of every tenth plank turning into termite, every tenth coal is a spark, while sifting I got six precious rings and only one gem, itchy pants every couple hours and so on. Well, first time getting them was fun, even if it made me some problems, but itchy pants every two hours? It's just annoying, nothing more. Also my pickaxe turned into questionable one, can't craft another yet and cheapest one on market today 500s, any way to repair it?
I don't realy understand the point of this insanity patch. There are no ways for a noob and even a mid player to get insanity lvls down, but there are lots of ways to make a mistake and get it up, like +2lvls with a bloodmoon, or doing some stupid noobish things like mining in darkness. Once at higher insanity lvl, many activities get hindered, most of all mining with a questionable pickaxe. And there is no fun in it. Voices? I can't hear them, I play without sound, like many other players. Itchy pants episode? Well, it was fun the first time, but not every couple hours. Also there is no advantage of being on higher insanity level. Like no additional crafts unlocked, though some inspirationals like wicked wicker man or fleurs du mal could have minimum insanity level requirement to craft or consume. Or there would be a higher chance to get inspirationals from crafting, like higher chance for coffin planks could offset the chance for getting the termite. But there is no positive way insanity is related to crafting or other activities.
So what was a plan behind this patch, to make our life harder but more fun? But instead of fun it turned out to be harder and annoying.
