HOW may we stop them?
Your understanding of raiding is very flawed. Braziers have limited ammo yes... but everyone knows that that limit is something like 300 activations or more from full. Running them out would take days or maybe weeks.
Also, the crime debuff can't be bypassed so I don't know what you're talking about, but if it were to be removed, it would cut the time of raiding down to about 1/10th what it is now. That's why raiding is so boring. Most of the raid is spent running away and back to get the debuff removed. Stupid mechanic and I hope they come up with something interesting that actually makes sense some day.
It's been said before, but a single hermit should NOT be able to stop a coordinated and strong group. You build some defenses to keep the small raiders out. On Plymouth, you can pay the tribe the treaty and be safe from the only big raiders. On Roanoke and Jamestown I guess you just hope for the best. It's not the best system, it's incredibly broken really. Small players shouldn't be hermits at all, they should be gathered into towns where they can combine defenses and such to keep bigger raiders away on their own merits. But, lack of real security from the other town citizens when living in a town had kept that from becoming a thing.
Okay I was under the impression Braziers have an ammo limit of the coal that you fill it with, but everyone does not know that do they?.. (lots don't even build them)
The crime debuff can be bypassed by just closing the client and relogging.. you are NOT locked from logging out. It only locks that one character. And i cant see how this could be changed.
I never did say that hermits should be able to stop anyone, I didnt say anyone should be able to or not able to stop people.. I said defending your base is not as easy as Dallane makes out. And pointed out why..
I would love to play as part of a town.. but you know.. theres not enough people around to find anyone who i get on with enough to trust my stuff with..
