Basically, a messageboard which costs silver to post messages on

Could possibly put one in the main town, posting messages costs silver

or/& make it craftable so people can place one in their own town

Anyway, it's one of those things I'd like to see in the game too. Sure, some may say thats what the forums are for, but face it lots of ppl don't really use them. Eventually, ingame message boards could be used as an ingame link to the forums, it could even have tabs for different topics (politics, arrivals&departures, trading, etc...), and it could potentially bring more players (specially noobs) to check out the forums.

It could even be integrated with an ingame bounty system, like posting a bounty on a criminal/criminals, adding a silver/item prize and evidence that any interested ranger would pick up for summoning. The bounty could feature some general information on the perps location (text, links to pics/maps/etc), and once someone who had picked up the "contract" got the kill, that person would get the bounty money/items/whatever.

Anyway, its a great idea and I fully support it.

Took me a whole 2 seconds to load a page and type bulletin board. I'm fairly certain there are more if i spent a whole 10 more seconds to look.

You are also not the 1st person to add those ideas.

You both should really use search to keep down on the spam so we can all add to idea instead of them being spread out like it is now.

With that I really don't like the idea at all. Next thing you know its penis, racist and general **** spam in game where everyone can see it with the capital cities. We would have to have jorb and loftar monitor it at all times. I doubt it will ever happen because it would be very helpful and fun for some people.

That;s not a bad idea actually. However I do see the pitfalls of more moderation being required. Maybe there could be a spin on it though. If you up the payment requirement then you make it more accessible to the factions that have the power to do the things that people complain about being unaware of. It doesn't need to be accessible to someone who can grind Indian charms for an hour, but to the groups who can pay for and enforce the "laws" that the mechanics of Salem allow for, whether it be YGM days, Treaties, Claeyt trying to warn every noob about every danger, or 5 years from now when a new faction comes into power forbidding pants.

General idea is making it a high tier device for factions to make announcements in game, but pricey enough so that people aren't filling it with penises.

Maybe like a town crier? I don't know. Hopefully that makes sense though.
