Hi, Im few weeks in salem and I like it so far. I like fact people can get killed but what is not fun is that new players gets mudered like flyes wihout having way to defend and veteran players can do that without any reall penalty. As I read forums this is larges inbalance and complaint. Looks like some people with good like complex acting like all land 2 hours walk radius or whole server belongs to tham killing every one wihout any reason and penalty ... is not so fun and its quite runing game. well its fun for maybe top 10 people but drives away other 10000.

I think best way to fix this would be bounty system and balance it way so it will discurage veterans mass murdering every newbs as it would not be worth it. They could still do it but it should be discuraged as really some people seems to just move around and kill others without reason.
Each time you murder someone or do some crime kins of that player could investigate murder and add bounty on the killer. Also permament kill should place at least some small bounty automaticly about 20 50s. Others should be able to read bounty boards in town and some way track those criminals. Mass mudreding lot of newbs without good reason should be not worht just killing every one on sight without reason. I belive this aproach could fix this problem fair way without any stupid muder insurances or nerfing stats.

A bounty system would be a fitting feature I think.

Secondly, you can get on forum and put up bounty on the person that kills you, in condition of you having scents of the criminal. Think about it this way, rangering is a sugar coated way of raiding and it leaves scents as well so 50s for bounty won't get you far.
