Why can cabbage leaves not be used as "any plant"?

Just that. Some recipes require the "any plant" for making, and as far as I'm informed, cabbage is a plant.

Sacre has a good point. Can you use other crops as "any plant"? I've not tried yet.

Why would it be OP? It would just be a minor convenience for the people who farm? :p

Because you could grow a few fields with crap-cabbage to just get an infinite supply of "any plant".

It could also raise the purity of the final product easily compared to using pots-planted "any plants" (water - lowering purity and 3 x humus).

Well, the grass is considered a plant in the "any plant" recipes, so technically it would make sense indeed...
