Some Ideas for Left-Handed Fencing

Since all of the pilgrims are apparently right-handed, I think there should be some interesting things you can do while fencing with the sword in your left hand. First of all, when you attack with Thrust it does half damage as you normally would but costs less YB. This would act as a handicap and can allow you to hunt crickets and such without wasting so much YB. However, as an added bonus you can pass through the parries of people fencing with their right hand 1/4 of the time and vice versa. Along with that, there should be an attack that switches your blade to the dominant hand, surprising the opponent and doing 1.5x the damage of thrust as well as passing through their Parry or Guard. This should only work if your dominant hand is empty and you were already in combat with the target. Doing this on the same target should be ineffective as they have already seen the ruse.

discrimination i tell you !!!
Left-handers are most of the time smarter, stronger & faster ! IF something would need to happen, it's a 2x thrust dmg or 3x faster woodchopping or 5x more dmg on punch !!
(i'm left handed btw)

All pilgrims can only fence with their right-hand so far. Using the sword in the left hand would mean using it in your weaker hand.

Odd, my left hand is my stronger hand. If 20% or so of pilgrims are left handed, like in the real world, it really means some of them ARE being forced to use their weaker hand.

I like this idea for for all the Princess Bride references we'd get to make.
