Buff lime node or add lime to Mine entrance

Postby battiskaff » Sun Aug 19, 2012 12:49 pm

Lime is one of the main resource in the game. Need to upgrade node from 5 to 10/20 or add lime in Mine entrance where we can mine ore and lime.

There are some really big lime quarries though. I'm waiting to see how lime supply is worldwide in 2-3 months before commenting.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

and this is why a rare valuable resource should be used accordingly , sought and defended, and not wasted away for a fast buck selling nails and such or building 40 layer walls lol

Those all sound like legitimate uses to me.

Has anyone tested just how deep you can dig? Some of the nodes are small enough you're not going to be able to go very deep, if I recall the boundary mechanic properly (can't dig at the boundary between the deposit and "other terrain").

You can dig on any tile that has 'lime' on it...if it is lime/grass you can still get lime from it. It can dig as deep as any other digging mechanics...I think its +/- 10 levels but I'm not too sure.

Are you guys sure that it doesn't decay back to lime when filled up with earth?

Dunno, guess I could try it on a lime deposit that is already exhausted.

You know, someone figured out that you could drop dirt on just the right vertex to cover up lime, stone and sand and posted it on the Paradox forums. I never heard back on what it decayed into, though. I had the same thought at the time.

Otherwise, you can't add dirt directly onto the stone, lime, and sand/beach terrains

You can dig the dirt tiles around the lime quarry to dig the lime deeper.

Of course the deeper you dig the lime the wider the area you have to dig of dirt.
