New Homesteads

No matter how established you have become, you're always tied to your ratty old leanto. The idea is basically to add different options for things that you can use as a homestead. Perhaps a throne could be my new homestead if I wanted, or a bed. I miss my hearthfire :(

once you get your claim set up you can set your home to your hearthstone. and you will no longer need your lean-to.

EDIT: Although thinking about it, something a little more "neat" would be cool.

There is a summoning bug in the game which forces you to use lean-to. I don't know if it is fixed, but if you have committed a crime someone can just summon you on edge of your claim if your Homestead is the claimstone.

Even if it there were no summoning bugs, you might be living on a friends claim and your own claim might be covering a mine or something like that, in which case you're forced to use the lean-to.

Would be really awesome to have some other options for homestead, like a bed inside the house or the house itself?

We all look like hobos now with all those leantos :D

Yes, I was quite surprised that you could not use your pilgrim hovel as homestead.

You can have many claims per character.

Well this is news to me :D But you can't place it over your friends claim, can you?

It doesn't force you to use a lean-to. Just be a bit more creative in designing your claim. As far as I know it hasn't been fixed, and for those that haven't been here, if you have a claim that is your homestead, you can be force summoned anywhere on it instead of at/near the claim stone. Of course, the fact that people can only spawn at your location if you have a claim set as home means I'll always use something else as my homestead marker.

True, you can't do that, but you can put claim next to claim, they are only 5x5 tiles?:)
