Add newspapers guy in every capital city, so newbies can buy paper and read about what is going on around them.

Newspapers can be written in-game by forum users that want to spread their news to whole community.
Thanks to that we can reach 99% server population with news about politics, battles, wars, fails etc etc.

Newspapers would consists mostly of spam, people would quickly stop reading it and it would become a useless feature.

it would be cool but you should know better darn. that thing would be covered a LOL PENIS at all times.

We have a Newspaper. The Forum. And the Guys who doesnt read Forums arent interested in Newspapers.

They can implement it in a way that you buy a writ or something for your newspaper and pay upkeep just like claims. Then you can sell your paper on some npc or stall, so the buyer can pick whichever one is good.

yet I think it may work if it would be done this way:
in capital city some NPC (boy for example) yelling something to get attention:
"EXTRA! EXTRA! {{ thread-title-from-forum }} ..." whole message could be link that would open web browser or window in-game.

Message expamples:
EXTRA! EXTRA! MM Tribe Treaty...
EXTRA! EXTRA! Offical Gallows Hill is dead thread...
EXTRA! EXTRA! Merry Christmas!


As for thread-title-from-forum I see titles from sections:
- Announcements
- House of Burgesses
- The Trade-Wind
- Planters & Pilgrims

NPC should loop through forums threads, but new messages to game should be gathered once per day, so it would look like real newspaper that can be bought daily.
