The next step in claims

This could be a town claim of sorts...high end players could buy and expand it to like hundreds of tiles in each direction...and other players could settle on that town claim as normally as anywhere else...BUT the claim upkeep from the newcomers would go to the town as profit...which in turn would give the town owner the incentive to protect its inhabitants..
as towns sprawl there might be incidents between the low end players like stealing for example which could begin entire wars...

The "real thread" you speak of has no mention whatsoever of any tax the current thread is about. And the thread I included (
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3063) is mostly about the tax idea. It also links to the thread you are speaking of while yours does not link to (
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3063).
