Stoves as a fire source

Using your burning stove to light your torch would be rather handy and it would make sense.
Tinder drills are ***** and flint + steel just to light one kiln/smelter/etc doesn't really feel worth it. There fire is there, why not be able to use it?

Didn't know you couldn't. If that's the case, +1 to this idea. I kind of wish we could light torches off of coal clamps too but that'd be a tiddly bit overpowered. ;)

Anything with an open flame you should be able to light things with imo... It's stupid to have to log an alt off with a lit torch every night. Also, constantly fueling a firepit as you bake all day isn't exactly ideal either for a "civilized" village.

It would be nice, but stove is burning now few hours(?), so that idea will kill flint & steel :/

You can already do torch alts, it's just a pain.

Coal clamp being fire source pls. Or campfires lasting a few days.

Good. Flint and steel should be an "on-the-go" convenience. Why would a civilized and massive village still be using flint and steel for anything other than the initial flame. Ovens burn for a long time and you can refuel them in the morning for a day of productive baking/minor uses of fire without the need to waste a flint charge.

Agreed. Lighting ovens and running back and forth from the oven to the firepit to keep them both fueled over the course of an entire day of cooking just gets annoying.

I support this idea. It only makes sense to be able to light the torch off of anything with an open flame, which the stove clearly has.
