Easy and Hard...

There was many threads about PvE and non-permadeath servers and they all ended up in point that this will change game too much so we can't have it.
What if instead of removing permadeath Devs would change some values, like stall prices on Jamestown server?

My suggestions is to make one easy-server with:
- cap for purity (max multiplier 2.0 should be enough for newbies to understand what is it and why it is useful),
- increase invariance during gluttony (more different types of food will be needed to rise humors, lowers caps on humors),
- increase walls health points +50% (little more protection),

- decrease C&D on inspirationals (divide by 2, it should make murder much more that just twice as hard to get),
- decrease food gluttony stats (divide by 2, this will lower humors cap, by amount imho just right to make raids very hard),
- decrease animals dmg and health (divide by 2, less stupid posts like nurf deers or bears),

- if cross-server tavels will cost any make them cheaper from this Easy-level-server,
- travels into this server from other servers should be blocked and never possible, newbies would get chance to go into Hardcore server, but it would be one way only.

- inherit would give back 50% profs and humors,

And now opposite suggestion ¦] make one hard-server with:
- purity (max multi 20.0),
- decrease invariance during gluttony,
- decrease walls health points (divide by 2 ),

- increase C&D on inspirationals (multiply by 2, yeah  ),
- increase food gluttony stats +100% ,
- increase animals dmg and health (multiply by 4, to add some fun  ),

- cross-server travels FROM this server should be never possible!

Of course servers with standard values like plymouth, roanoke and jamestown should be still available, those two would be just some nice addition :)

Compare results and see where you sell more packs and silver :D

Sorry, but i genuinely hate this idea :/

IMO absolute barriers to server travel should always only be temporary (first few months of a server), I really hate the fact that we are three separate servers.

This would also be an absolute nightmare to balance. For example, with the numbers you have given the humour cap on the "easy" server would be much much lower (the changes you have made have a multiplicative effect when combined), which in fact would be great for roving criminals, since no-one could ever break into their bases. Likewise, the "hard" server would be dumb as any protection while offline would be essentially removed by making walls like paper compared to the 1000 humour behemoths you would create there.

That is the idea to check how people would play under those conditions.

On easy server yes there could be criminals, but if they would die it will hurt them a lot and maybe people there would build massive towns even if not then medium town would be much harder to raid with current mechanic, so imho most carebears would be there happy.

On hard there would be no 1000 humor raider-chars, because they could be killed in hour, I imagine there would be more like nomads-raiders-camps with massive amounts of alts, but I can be wrong :)

I'd rather strive for a set of rules we can all enjoy.

My current leanings:

Murder should require alot more C&D than it does now. Perhaps 200 or so.

Reincarnates should have 50% of their profficiencies and biles.

Characters inventories and equipment are accessable from their homesteads when they log out, characters with no homestead drop all their items when they log out including equipment.

You get safe silver storage in Boston equal to the number of tiles you have pclaimed +100 bonus when you get your first claim down.

Do people not read anything that the devs say or know what they stand for?? There will never be a carebear server and if there is then Jorb and Loftar will have been removed from the project by then.
