Oxymoron. Mechanics that only make the game more difficult immediately rocket up to the top of my priority list and present themselves as the most useful.

I understand for @JohnCarver this a mechanic can be "fun" but for playersi isn't... (don't count exceptions like no-life players ...)

Hypothermia and Madness are the easiest things to counter, honestly I would rather see them made more harsh.

1) Have full set of clothes, even if it's the worst kinds of clothes.
2) Study inspirationals / smoke the hookah.
3) ????
4) Problem solved.

but you need extra attention about this mechanic...
go and kill 100 animals... with near stillborn :D you will start understand... about time etc.

What the ***** does killing 100 animals have to do with countering Hypothermia and Madness?

Monotony is for hoomans. Anything being tedious and repetitive is the players own fault for playing the game too much.

I just hunted for 8+ hours straight without being bothered by it. That by far is the definition of repetition to the maximum and yet...I'll do the same thing again tomorrow and enjoy every last second of it.

I like hunting or gardering pots - i can 30000 pots plant... but if i need stop it.. and feed animals, feed turkey, check bee, etc etc... i need out my garden (mine pots)...
