The skeleton fest on the streets made me remember bone chapels and since these places give more inspiration than just a pile of bones I decided to include some additional ideas. If these decorative items are implemented I will be glad, if not, I can do without these. Let's put this part aside for a moment. And, yes decoration should be crafted from regular and dark bones.

Now, talking about liches, even if these will never, ever drop anything rare, they can still be abused to bully noobs seeking to use the hookah and still will not serve the purpose, because one can always use a 0-scalp alt to do the risky part defeating the idea. Besides the crypt portal is nearby and since mobs would not follow through the portal it is easy to escape.

Regarding dock club totem I do not see how this would prevent using noob chars or sneaking in during the less crowdy hours - like 8 a.m. UTC. Who would be keeping the guard 24/7 ? It would also equally endanger and scare those seeking to put skeletons back inside.

If the fear debuff is not enough then go for quetzl poison.

The additional goal you missed is to provide a reward for bringing a skeleton inside the crypt. Remember how it used to be a common practice in crafter workshops that the new guy does the cleaning tasks. The reward should be attractive for newbies but not so much for mid level players. It must be balanced so it would be not profitable to put a skeleton in and out repeatedly. There should be a cooldown timer with some random variation, which runs only outside the crypt to enable the reward.

different views i suppose, i do not think it should be 100% preventable or to hard for newbs to harass everyone with a pile of skeletons if they want, the reason my solution would be to just pvp enable to crypt is because it lets the players choose whether or not skeletons in town are annoying enough to them to prevent from happening plus pretty much all the reasons you think it would be bad.

if the crypt is a pvp flagged place there is risk associated, thus any rewards that were added for cleaning up town would be earned plus be able to be more significant, likewise the endless ambushes, drama, attempts to lure people into it to rob them and catching the rare t2 witch inside scouting for skulls would add countless forum threads for people to ***** at each other in. all things the game needs.

also there used to not be a bong anywhere except the den which needed 200ish affluence to get into (assuming it still does) so whether or not it could be used safely in there or not is not much of a consideration, if anything that is better also as it gives you a choice between having affluence and getting your hit in safety or attempting to wing it and risk getting KOed losing all the inspiration you gained from the bong and then some.

I do not expect you to find enough of totally naive Clayets who would do community useful work only to be killed as a reward.
What is needed is a one way road: easy in, hard out. The solution you propose puts too much cost on placing the skeleton in the crypt.
Perhaps if stealing the skeleton would mark a character as attackable for a fixed time (or until leaving the crypt) it could work.
Then again, one can always use low level chars to check the area before logging in the real char.

how about just removing inheritance like it was before the game became populated by people that should be hitting farmville on facebook instead of an obscure permadeath pvp game thus removing the need for skeletons or the requirement to do something with them in the first place.

There is already a lot of mechanics built around the inheritance. I do not think it is going to be removed just like that.
Initially I thought about a structure which would eat skeletons at a cost of disabling or crippling inheritance, e.g. without option to make a will, but with inheriting claims. But how this would work if the char is inherited before the body turns into a skeleton? I dropped this idea because I found no simple solution without some ugly patches.

hmm, yeah. i agree. perhaps we should just remove death from the game along with any weapons or combat as well since those are icky. instead i believe we should all be issued pool noodles and super soakers so that we do not run the risk of further injuring ourselves in the event of dropping them should our player alarm plugin go off causing a spate of snowflake panic potentially leading to cardiac arrest.

We also need 65 more genders. The 2 we have seem very oppressive and reminds me of nazi germany.

thats because in addition to being capitalist scum, an evil racist and prone to just assume everyones gender with your inherent white privilege cis gendered bigotry, if you were truly enlightened you would understand that we actually need 365 genders so that each day of the year we can alternate.

i hope someone makes a client plugin for this where a *****,tit, both or several will just grow out of a random part of your body every 24 hours.

my god the legends are true.

until this moment i always thought those dumb polish people jokes were just jokes.

instead we discover lost mythology passed down over thousands of years that we have merely perceived as jokes in our modern interpretation of historically accurate classics such as 1 to hold the lightbulb, 49 to turn the house!
