So these have to be more than decorations because you are building something. You are adding in a new wall type.

I seen nothing wrong with decritive walls and buildings, not everything HAS to have a reason beyond asthetics. I agree that it is not something that should take away time from developing something more useful, but most of the furniture in the pack is hardly what one would call 'useful'.

im not programist salem... you can always do flit/slip into hedge, example mechanic cost in phlegm without destroy it... mean... you can move into... but cost more phlegm or not ... can be only for display ...

and size can be acorn bushes mean (oxo)(oxo)(oxo) where o is space where character can move... x where is block... ...

This seems nice. I think it could be easily done with a new wall type of lower strength than the makeshift fence. Probably with cornerposts and wall segments all of the same cost since it's decorative. Though what materials you make it of is the question.

Or it could be just square bushes that you can plant, but that would make it easier to misalign and wouldn't allow fancy garden gates.

I wonder if it would be possible to code harvesting a clipping from a wall segment and then 'planting' the clipping to build the next segment, having to wait a few days for the segment to grow from seedling to full hedge. That would probably be a whole new addition to the wall code, hrm.

There is already client-side code to align building posts and similar code to align items while dropping them. If that code could be extended to align planting trees and bushes it would be very useful, not only for hedges.
The gate can be just a separate structure fitting all kinds of bushes.
