Organized skills by categories.

Postby alagar » Thu Nov 17, 2016 4:45 pm

Just tried to start from zero again when I saw the insane amount of skills, it's a mess and it confuses newcomers, reading one by one is boring and sometimes, the skill is not really clear, maybe you should organize them by categories like "combat, cooking, exploring, thievery" or whatever. JC, you already did include the "profession" thing in this game, so I think it's a good idea to separate the skills by profession or utility.

Would also be helpful to include a footnote that says which skills it will unlock.

I agree a revamp of the look of the skill list, perhaps divided by profession, is fair now that we have so many more skills. But a full tree isn't in keeping with the exploratory nature of Salem.

maybe a Tree that shows whats unlockable but doesnt show what skills gives?

currently all skills are jus thrown around, a pointer to what they unlock would be nice, even if the unlockable thing is greyed out so u can either not see what the skill gives or completely not see the skill with name etc.

That completely kills the skill exploration part of salem.

I think having them split into job categories is a good idea but giving a tree or more information on what is past that skill isn't good for the game.
