Meat drying & food spoil

Postby pietrko » Sat Oct 01, 2016 5:29 pm

Meat drying was super important for Indians & Trappers of 17-18th century.
In some cases whole economy was based around drying meat and processing it for further use (Metis and pemmican).

I mean simple recipes:
Drying Frame + meat cut - > dried meat cut

Would nice to have represented in Salem how important food preservation is.
Also don't be shy add spoilage to more food groups, meat group would be especially easy to handle.

There is a warning in announcements that this will happen at some point.

Yes.
And it makes totally sense.

But simple adding of more spoiling foods, has to lead in implementation to make some food more durable too.
Like drying, salting, souring.

But even that is suggested more times in the past.

I would like it, if more such mechanic would be implemented. :)
