Let us freeze to death in the darkness moreso than in the light. Everyone knows that a place of no light source is bound to be colder than a place of light.
(Assuming this isn't how it already is)

Would make sense but perhaps would also warrant a slightly buff to the spoils of darkness hunting. Or maybe we just need to deal with the tiny bit of extra salt, who knows.

Lets reinforce to everyone what happens to animals during this period- they die! They died before... certain death now with thermal factors entering gameplay.

Unless you have a Barn built (see requirements via wiki) your precious animals you bring over will quickly die on Providence.

Plan ahead.

Cheers!

IF Darkness is a factor...how will Chruches mitigate it? Bringing Light into Darkness is their function; will that have any bearing on thermal?

In the context of OP thread/argument?

Darkness is a lack of civilization, so it would have no effect on temperature.

Not sure why you're mentioning barns, but animals have suffered from the colder weather of a cold snap for a long time now. Your mentioning it here is no news to anyone.

Darkness would be colder because it lakes the warmth of God's love.

Your idea makes sense, but survive in the deep darkness isn't that easy to survive for even now.
But death in the darkness by the freeze would be cool, less tards in the darkness trying to "wanna be hunter"
