I find it very difficult to find any lavender blewit anywhere. I don't know if it is just my biome or not. If it isnt then I think they need to make lavender less rare.

Try grasslands--any grassland. Turn on forage. Get Mushroom Hunting. They're not rare, but they're not supposed to be that common, either.

Coniferous Forests seem to have a lot.

I seem to think they're equally common between pine forest and grass, but I spend more time in forage mode in the pine forest for other things so I see them most there. They're about 1/4 as common as waxing toadstools, and about equal to sugar caps iirc.

Blewits are frikken everywhere. you're doing it wrong, and as far as Sugarcaps, they are everywhere in badlands.

As mentioned, they are very common in pine forests. I recommend getting mushroom hunting and wandering through one of those.

Lavender Blewits do not spawn in forests at all, but are very common in swamps and on grassland.

EDIT: Not sure about the old black forest. They might be there.

If you mean the pine biome, then yes, they do.

They are rife in "old black forests" if that's what you call the dark brown/green camo looking biome. We live next to a giant one. :P
