Potatoes and chunks

From testing I just performed with 20 yellow and brown potatoes, and an equal number of chunks, a potato weighs universally 0.25 KG. Fine. You can take and split a single potato into a random number of chunks. Apart from serving little purpose that I know of, chunks of potato weigh 0.50 KG. The physics boggle the mind.
