Map Direction pointer.

It seems very easy to lose your bearing is there any future plans for a map pointer eg NESW?.

There are such plans, but in the meantime the shadows work quite fine as compass, since they always point north in civilized areas.

I've always oriented via the minimap. Just walk until you see your guy walking up and boom you're heading north. An obvious pointer will help when it comes out though.

You still see the shadows on your character and objects.

The automatic camera on the default client doesnt help there should be a way to turn it off without having to use a custom client, its quite annoying how it automatically positions itself to the direction your character is moving, without this feature it would be alot easier to keep your bearing.
