Weapons made from multiple forgings

Postby Sipo » Wed Apr 13, 2016 2:41 pm

Maybe something like a katana. Where each steel bar added to the sword gives it +0.05 damage only usable on creatures and to wield you requiere at least certain number of humors or proficiencies so that they are not given to alts. I wwould love to put several steel bars on a sword, or have all town work on a common goal like a hunting sword.

That's the idea, but with lots of work. Even at 0.05 damage per bar, that would be around 1000 steel bars for 50 damage (normal spanish sabre would still be better until that point is passed) ¦]

-1 Samurai and katanas don't really fit into the culture of pilgrims....
-1 On adding steel as well we already have purity of sabers why add another modifying value.

It's not how sword making works. Adding more metal to a blade after it has been forged? It will only create different layers of differently tempered metals and weigh the blade down until it's unusable. A good one handed sword is less than 1Kg for a reminder.

If we need anything we need a way to increase the purity of our store bought clubs.
