Stamp mills that aren't powered by free energy

Thank you for the stamp mill updates. We finally get our moneys worth with stamp mills. It gives a real industrial feel when working in the mines. It also gives a sense of progress in developed villages because you can upgrade it with more efficient equipment at a high cost.

Here is an idea to consider: Since the stamp mills seem to be tapping into an unlimited free energy source, why not make it powered by something?

Something more era appropriate would be steam. Maybe have a barrel attached to it that holds 100l of water, and have it run on coal, or branches? It would make the most sense for it to run continuously while it have fuel and water regardless of if there is any thing being crushed. And of course give us the ability to shut it off by pouring water on the fire.

As a trade off to the higher difficulty of operating it, maybe you could further buff it. Instead of even more speed, maybe higher inventory space? And/or the ability to add additional boulders in queue?

And of course please don't make them too annoying to operate by making it consume all the fuel and water every couple of minutes, because that would just nerf them again. Something more along the lines of 30 minutes would be a good operating time.

sounds like a more waste of time then using the mills.

That's why I said they should be further buffed to make up for it ;)

the need to spend time and collect some things - GRIND

Salem is set to group game - but all are individualistic and hard to achieve something together
so all need time... and more mechanic for grind is not fun...

example water and barrel.... i must use bucket for full barrel... is worst..

I think that each update which complicates already established mechanics will be labeled as "adding pointless grind", while it would be fine if it was there from the beginning. Still, can't see any good reason to add this
