Cold snap idea - sleeping bear in mines

Just sort of a silly "make the world feel more alive" idea, where during a cold snap "Sleeping bears" appear in mines. They're basically bears that won't aggro until you wake them up via-
Starting a stamp press
Mining
Chipping boulders
or a cave in
Attacked
and they'll have an animation of them laying down.
At which point they'll do everything they can to get you out of their cave so they can go back to sleep. They should give extra lard when butchered.

Just a little idea to make the difference between cold/warm a bit bigger, and generate tears of people who use wimpy mining alts.

only if they wake as enraged stronger bears.

Suure, just simply add sound response to creatures. Simple. I foresee slaughtered noobs everytime a tree is chopped in woods. Hardmode activated!

I like it, but in all honesty only and really only because it would enable me to get bear meat in a cold snap: I think the shortage of bear meat during a cold snap is a more active mechanism than the nicety of such "logical"/"real" simulations (how would a bear get past all my braziers?)

Sure then we should be able to use dynamite in mines so that we can clear cut large amounts of rubble with an increased chance causing a cave in that has noxious fumes that will reduce bile amounts. At which point you will have to dig yourself out of a extensive cave in that in multiplied by the levels of drop downs you have gotten in your mine.

This of course would require noxious fumes to be added to mines at all times meaning you will have to build a bird cage made of 5 copper bars and one iron ore and a wooden handle. A sparrow egg will have to be matured in a nest made of 20 hay so that the sparrow can be placed in the cage to monitor for fumes. Depending on the sparrow's purity it will decide how fast he finds the fumes. The sparrow will die an make a noise and that is how you know you need to get out of the mine.

To clear noxious fumes you will have to build a bellows at the mine entrance as an add-on structure and pump on it to pump all air out of the mine. The mine will have to wait for 5 days to re-oxygenate the area.

-1 to bears lets have random noxious fumes or natural gas explosions if we are going to bring some realism lets do it right.

seems all cool, but werent they using canaries to spot the fumes in the mines?
