Why do I need to click "Pick" on forageables to pick them?

At the beginning I thought "maybe there are more options than Pick" but seems that's not the case. Can you make it so we can pick forageables just by right clicking them?

+1 I think that there should be an option in the menu for it, it would definitely save my fingers a bit of work :P

The option is there for immersion, so a new player understands that the berry bush I indeed a berry bush that you pick berries from. Arguably one would understand that after they get the berries but imo it's good to keep the single options listed, else you might as well make food and inspirational only stuff work the same way.

I was talking about forageables, "things on the ground", not objects.

The one thing I like about the "pick" functionality is that after I select "pick" on one item, and while my character is walking towards it, I can right click another foragble item to open the flower menu and just wait for my character to pick up the first item, to just press "1" on the keyboard and make instantly go for the next item

For the record, when I made it that way, the distinction I've held in mind is that actions that are irreversible should have a menu option to click even when it's the only option, the more obvious examples clearly being "Eat" or "Study" or the like. True enough, the irreversibility of the "Pick" option is far more harmless than those two, but nevertheless that was the reasoning.

I'm up for it to be changed, it hurts the pace of the game when foraging, it's also sometimes difficult to click stuff on the ground because the sprites are too small, like Ostrich Fiddlehead

It's a cool feature to have, but when i click a forageable object on the ground i know i want to pick it up. And having to click twice to confirm, every time, for hundreds of items a day will end up being maddening.
at least give it a test, i don't know if it's better or worse because i have not tried it myself.

If you're clicking rather than using the number keys you're clearly doing it wrong. :)

The better question is, If they do this, would they then spawn even more frequent daisies and trash drops to counter the newfound ease of foraging?
