Add more variation to the forest

So, I'm living in the forest right now because that's where my lay to took me.
It's pretty nice here. I like it. However, I think there needs to be far more variation in the area here. There's practically no reason why I should move my lay to somewhere else. There are no rivers for fish and no lakes, only swamps and I cant fish in them. Well, swamps should have more bonuses than sometimes spawning seaweed. Add frogs and other things. Also, the forest should have some small rivers to fish trout and salmon. Hm, but most importantly there has to be MUCH more variation in the areas so people would want to look for a better place. This game is all about building and finding the most perfect spot to settle down. .. but if everywhere in a territory (like the forest) looks the same and has the same environment, then there's no point in moving somewhere better and people lose interest. .. So definitely some better world building is neccesary. Make some more hills, rare resources. Just more variety. Some areas SHOULD be better than others. Not overpowered, but enough for people to be interested. For instances, patches of sand, iron, clay, whatever... Extra rocks.. A small patch of odd trees that u dont find in miles.. Fortress like tiles that provide a natural defence.

Dude, if you dont want to live in a forest you need to move. Location is key to setting up a self sufficient hermitage or village.

I did not say that I don't want to live in a forest. I said I want more variation inside the forest. I don't have experience living in other places, but I feel that the forest could be more varied than it is and it would serve the game well if it was more varied. I have been playing there for a long time now and explored it and I'm giving some feedback on what I think could be improved.

Also, you are a moderator. Writing things like "dude" and trying to lay on me what I need to do or think is unprofessional. Usually the job of moderators is to keep a forum clean and not argue with the players.

You haven't been living there for very long, because you just registered your beta key 40 minutes ago.

And for the record, I'm only a moderator when I'm using this color. Otherwise, I'm just like everybody else, dude.

I registered my beta key more than a day ago and I've played like 15 hours straight now. 8 hours with a friend of mine. So I think I'm entitled to have an opinion on the game. Also, again I'd like to point out that again you're acting very unprofessionally not only in this thread, but also in the other. I would suggest you try and change your ways before a commercial launch of this product because otherwise a lot of customers are going to be upset with you. Accusing honest players, or being hostile towards them is very wrong when working in customer support. I don't know if you're having a bad day or if you're just clueless, but I don't really care. You should try and fit your role better.

You might want to have a look around the forums if you think that my attitude is bad, I can assure it is not. I am not a professional, I dont work for paradox, and I do this on my own time. Like I already said before, right now..when I'm typing like this in this color I am just another forum goer. Please log all moderator complaints in this thread:

See, now reading what you have to say I am more relaxed about. Actually, I don't even give 2 cents because I know that I've played and paid attention to the details in what I've experienced. Also, I have a lot of experience from other sandbox games and hardcore games in general.

It's very normal to have overly defensive fanboys defend their game.

Danella, fyi, I really enjoyed playing Salem today. I'm just pointing out some things that could make it better. The game's in beta, so I'm doing what I'm supposed to.
