I m sure this has been brought up before, but that is not reason for not suggesting again

we sure could use some paints, say, made out of various ingredients, like distilled flowers .

the most handy use would be of course on containers like:



and now you know on first look that in that clumsy-painted chest you have stored bloods that you mercilessly drained out of the ( still beating ) hearts of various animals

we could of course use paint on everything like walls, clothes, or even create works of art on canvas bla bla, but containers are the practical priority .

so please devs give us

Easy but ugly would be adding an "overlay" kinda like this:



More work but nicer would be using different textures (like you did with the fine leather backpack instead of the redcoats's backpack)

yes the entire item - structure covered by an overlay would suck, but i do not think its too much work to re-texture the partial pieces of the models
if its too much work for the devs, then i bet giving the community the tools to make different versions of things would rapidly create beautiful stuff

I think it will just be silly to recolor stuff. There will be some horrendous **** laying around

I do not have the know-how to re-texture 3d models or the way to put it in game, however , i am not speaking about something like the user side re-texturing
like people did with pavements, but a true in game variety.

So what you are saying is that you are too much of a lazy moron to learn how to do this? Google blender. It's more then likely what marp is using.

I offered you the option to do it yourself. You are the one incapable of learning how to do this due to your lack of intelligence. If this idea were to ever go forward it would be long down the line. The only way this would work would be if there were a few different color options premade by the devs so that there aren't any retarded looking buildings around.

The best option for the time being would be for someone to make textures for everyone.
