I have read about the posibility of pets.
But i think there are pets, wich will be follow you.
Today i had a conversation with another player and we have think about other posibilities of claim security.
It could be bring up very liveliness, if there where some pets that live on the claim.
A cat and a watchdog.
The watchdog could be as strong as the creatures in Darkness.
And the watchdog bites every who is giong to the claim without permission.
Whats your opinion?

A fair idea. But we don't have any intention of adding a lot of non-hostile AI work until probably post-launch.

if we are going to get dogs i would prefer to have to get them as a puppy and then feed them food to level their stats like you would a character along with teaching them "tricks" to give them different abilities.

I don't think that pilgrims had dogs for "tricks". When they have bring them to america over the great sea, then only for hunting or security reason.
Puppies came a lot of later, when people begun to build large urban communities.
Even today in rural areas are dogs often only useful animals instead of companions.

In order to get adult dogs you need to get puppies first. Unless you miread puppies as lapdogs. In which case there were plenty around among the wealthy. Mostly as pets for ladies as young men would prefer falconry, horses, or hunting dogs. Lapdogs were very popular in the nobility of England and that popularity spread to the colonies.
