Delivery service

Postby Feedzor » Fri Sep 28, 2012 12:50 pm

Hello,

I was foraging out in the forest, found some good stuff, but I hate having to walk back all the way. This prevents me from really going places, since if I'm a few minutes away my inventory is already filled and I don't want to waste stuff.
I was thinking about some sort of delivery system where you can put everything in a Crate (5x5) and pay an X amount of silver for that service. Then, 2/3/4 hours later it can be delivered to your place in some sort of box that will break after 24 hours.

What do you think about that?

There are exploits related to what you are asking which is why it doesn't and won't ever exist.

Prioritizing foraged items to keep in inventory is the only skill based part of foraging, it has to stay.

This could be abused very easily. I'd suggest just using the things you're gathering while you run about. Or get a sled and carry that around.

Delivering from the wild is neither realistic nor does it add anything to the game besides making it easier to forage.

I can see the potential for some sort of delivery from town to town or from boston to town. But form the wild? I don't think so.
