Now that water isn't pure, can we have a wind powered water lift building that has a constant supply of water available.

So, you basically want to build wind-powered pumps on water nodes instead of building wells?

or make well thats actually allow you to fill a abrrel, or at least not wait for the firigging rope to go up and down :)

Perhaps if pumps were finite and wells infinite. That sounds like a fair trade off.

I was kind of hoping we could build them anywhere, that or make well points more common but perhaps with some sort of logic, like you can't find them in mountains or on clay and badlands... IDK.

I live right next to a lake, and its still annoying having to take barrels down to fill them up. It would be easier to make some buckets and 'port to Providence, its not like everyone doesn't have an infinite supply of water.

You are hoping for something that is way too convenient. Better to dry up Providence, imo. ¦]

Ok, what if it was toned down until it wasn't too convenient. Make it expensive, 35 iron bars, 35 bricks +1 Brick of Fallen Babel, 7 mortar and 30 blocks of wood. And then make it so that it only produces... IDK 50 litres a day, call it 2l/hr with a 50l cap. Of course you are going to need windmill theory to build it, I always thought it was a shame that got made cheaper (but they were also nearly pointless at the time). Suddenly its not as overpowered.

I know you used the ¦] but that is my point, either water is easy to get via Providence so why can't we have this nice thing, or you are going to make the water in Town salty, probably around the time JC builds a wall around it, which BTW I am all for.

I see the issue, I just don't see the fix without making wells useless and giving you too easy a time with water acquisition. I don't think walling off town is necessary yet as that would be a big game changing thing. However, there are mechanics on the horizon that may be able to help this, or at least encourage use of wells (or pumps, if they're not OP) instead of dredging around in the same water into which fish and beasts defecate. And when that happens, it's possible that you'll have an option that's quicker than one bucket at a time.

OK, nice to know that something is on the horizon. Although slightly worrying too. My current base is built where I found reasonably pure water back before it was announced that water purity was going to become meaningless, and I don't even know if there is a well point near my base. I don't know anyone that actually uses wells at ALL, but then I don't know many people  Anyway, thanks for all your responses on the subject, it is nice to know the devs are reading and considering our suggestions.
