Make pure vegetables useful

Currently there is almost no benefit to raising pure vegetables in pots. A pure tomato, for example, can be eaten raw or used to try to raise the Aether value of a pot. That's it.

I think the formula for the Aether value of a cooked food should be changed. Maybe 80% from the primary ingredients and 20% from secondary ingredients would be a good balance, instead of the current 100% and 0%.

here here! very much seconded, since i only ever had pure pots, it feels like such a waste planting anything but pumpkin , berries and mushrooms in them. and it feels a bit wasteful to only have pure pots be useful to those food groups.

They will matter in the future.

"Vegetable" food group and "Cabbage" food group will be 'split' during the next food revamp.

Tomato = Blood
Carrot = Phlegm
Radish = Yellow
Onion = Black

All the ground work is done for this, we just felt that the vegetable foodgroup can be pushed with Domesticated Meats and the Soups & Stews groups.

The problem with having everything effect the final purity is that not all secondary ingredients have a purity grind.
