Not a bad concept, but in a way I think that's what metal chests were supposed to be for. Secure storage that raiders can't just haul away if locked.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

I'm thinking more about work stations than containers.

Do people steal workstations? Other than an anvil early game I couldn't see why raiders would bother since you can't teleport it. Unless you're talking about griefers, in which case they're doing it to reduce the amount of time they spend under brazier fire.

Yeah, it's mostly about people looking to destroy your base rather than just steal. Which I reckon is most of the people that raid, seeing how popular field destruction is.

Last time I removed stakes was from the seesaw my grandfather made for my sister. It took a better part of the day to get the main one up with the ring of stakes farther into the ground supporting it.

Those aren't your typical wood stake, though. Those are ground screws and steel devices to anchor buildings. I pulled all the anchors for a 30' mobile home in under 20 minutes (about a dozen 2 foot screw anchors). I think putting them in is harder....

this was a jerry rig deal. i always hated taking apart things he build because he made them to last forever.

I'd like this just because I'm particular about how things are placed. It'd be nice to avoid accidentally moving stuff.

1 nails and 1 sharpened stick to tie something movable down, and you need to get it to 90% or less damage before you can pick it up. It'd be a nice and cheap compromise.

Another possible addition instead of nailing it down would be using rope. Tying down your boat would at least be an extra roadblock for the raiders if they're trying to get the 4 inventory space it has.
