If they keep adding new servers and stall regularly then it would be ok. As long as something is done with inactive stalls. But as it works currently it's not "not bothering and ***** abour it later". Stalls get reserved very quickly. When more were added in Plymouth this week they were all reserved within couple hours? I was extremely lucky that I checked forum at 8am in the morning and saw stalls were added. At that point there were only 3 left. Stalls in new servers are reserved within few days as well. They are available for only for a fraction of game world's duration.

If you really like competition that much then why not sell stalls in auction-type system for a month. 10 players with highest bids get a stall for a month. It would be better silver sink than currently, people would have chance even if they started playing 2 months after world started and problem of inactive stalls would be resolved. I think there are many ways of doing it better than it works currently.

i had a stall within 30 minutes of jamestown opening because i bought silver and got one, it was a full day before the next was claimed and an entire week before the original spots were filled out, roanoke was even longer. the extra batch of stalls had spots available for two full days before they were purchased. anyone could have bought a stall if they wanted one bad enough at any time, but they didn't. so now it is suddenly "not fair" and needs to be changed to ***** over everyone that did buy one.

You seem to think that just because you spent hundreds of dollars getting multiple stalls, such change would automatically ***** up everyone (everyone = you). It shows to me that "***** up others" by reserving stalls and holding monopoly is what drives you. But not everyone plays like this. And I'm not trying to offend you. You are just a competitive type of person and will do a lot to gain advantage over others. But maybe this philosophy does not apply to everything, or at least not in the way you assume.

The stalls do have a limited silver capacity. If the player owning said stall quits, the silver will eventually run out and the stall defaults back to unowned.

What is the silver limit? I already have enough silver in my stall to keep it running for 3-4 months

I don't have a number, but do recall seeing a complaint about it somewhere and a response by jorb (I believe).

You wouldn't get a complaint from me, though "Market House" would be more apt.

100000 silver is the current limit if nothing was changed. That's enough to keep the stall for approximately 333 weeks.

Auction House would be problematic - what will happen with items from outdated auctions?

Yeah, Boston stalls are a fundamentally flawed concept. If you're going to have a centralized marketplace like that (and I don't think it's the right way to go, but them's the breaks) it should be an auction house.

As of now stalls are obviously a "Pay 2 Win" feature in Salem. Only people willing to drop a bunch of real life money into the cash shop can have stalls so early after a new server opens.

Might be it's intended that way, after all, the money has to come from somewhere.
