Regarding a couple of the things people have mentioned, i strongly disagree that fishing should be changed to require less attention. I hate it how fishing in most games i've played is pretty much just cast out then nothing for ages. The fishing system has many good things about it. It just needs to be a little more fun and usefull.
About farming and lime though, i agree with the people saying cotton processing is badly paced and i think various things could fix that. I love farming, but i think upkeep could be improved. Woodchips are so boring. Couldn't we have something cool, like usually you don't have to do anything but some real quick raking or something, but like, occassionally there'll be like, a bug or something you need to deal with in some way and maybe there some sort of small reward? And putting lime on fields for plenty is really, really boring. I don't mind having to do so much work, but it could be made more fun. Our sets of 5 stamp mills are close enough to the pit boulders accumulate/we have to wait to crush them, dragging them is boring, and then the lime has to be taken over to all the fields/smelter as well. So lots of of walking back and forth... its pretty unexciting and it becomes really tedious when you're wanting to smelt heaps all the time/put plenty on lots of fields regularly/make really high plenty fields. I'm sure this could be improved a lot. Even if we could just have some thing to like, crush the lime into powder rather than a smaller rock or whatever and put it in sacks to dump on the fields at least. Or maybe like, use explosives on a lime pit to crack it up for boulders to appear or something. Well im way over-tired so they're not well thought out ideas at all, but im 100% sure improvements could be made to make these things much more fun.
I don't mind about coal clamps and board/tree cutting etc- it's a long enough period of time that i can enjoy doing something else like reading or whatever between having to do stuff.
