^ Great idea.

I had the idea of it being like a true market in the time era, you arrive in the morning, if a stall is open, you put your wares up, people come, at the end of the day you have to pack up and move home and all stalls are open for grabbing the following morning. ( a town cryer in system chat could announce when stalls are open for business or what not the "boston market")

Another viable concept, for sure. Renting stalls for "a day" or whatever length of period. Could have a bidding or first come first serve, and some kind of item return for anything that is unsold.

Would definitely kill people using stalls for personal storage.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

Another intriguing idea could be that stalls can't be anonymous. That way we could track down the people using them as banks and raze them to the ground:P

Just saying god it is annoying how little is being offered in some of those stalls.

Here staxjax, about 2 weeks ago, points out the "personal storage" issue but seems nothing's changed.

It could be working as intended for all we know. Pay 5000s+rent and you can have your own personal item storage. The only problem with this, is there is not enough stalls for everybody at the moment ;p

Well, I was happy to see player stalls in Boston as it was a step into a more trade-orientied direction. But, after some weeks, I came to the impression that they are hardly used for trade. They are used as safe storage space and/or to show off your grinding skills. While this may be interesting it doesn`t have to do a lot with trade and maybe also contraproductive. Would be interesting to hear from someone using the stall for trade and how much income is generated.

Furthermore, as it is right now, they are preventing city trade as everyone just ports to Boston and sells its stuff there. I would prefer to see some of the ideas realized in regard to intra-city trade, employees, trading-rights for cities ... and get this shops closed in Boston.

The stalls are fine. The problem is the ones that are not being used at all, and I dont know if there is a way for somebody to abandon a stall besides not paying the rent. There has been no information released in regards to how long a stall remains occupied if the rent is not paid. All of the other stalls have stuff for sale, it might not be stuff that you need and look like people are just abusing the storage, but I can assure you that more than a few people restock and sell their wares on a daily basis.

I was the first one to rent the player operated stand.
Most of my income comes from selling metal (sometimes also metal tools but I am too lazy to produce them and also a small amount of farming-related products.)
What I can tell is that, if you produce enough goods you can make some great silver, sometimes after restocking before logging out the next day I wake up to all my metal wares gone and few thousands silver income.
